Dearest reader, I am Alexis, your reliable Virtual Assistant. For today’s entry, I will be taking you through the roles I can fill as a virtual assistant and how it helps your business.

You’re probably just hearing about virtual assisting and wondering who exactly a virtual assistant is or what value she adds to your business. 

For a start, you can view me as the oil that ensures the smooth running of a machine. Let’s call this machine your life. Remember how grease improves the efficiency of a machine, and suddenly the joints can slide over each other with increased ease? I am equipped to perform the function of that grease in your life, preventing friction from the multitude of parts that make it up.

At this age, this is particularly important to help your ideal client locate you in the forest of stores. I also manage pricing, bookkeeping, and process returns and exchanges.

As your assistant, I am in charge of ensuring your customers get excellent customer service delivery and experience a seamless transaction in your store. Like I said earlier, I am the grease that keeps the machine cogs of your store running seamlessly.

As the title implies, I would carry out your administrative tasks. It becomes my duty to ensure you are on top of your affairs. I ensure your calendar is in sync, deadlines are not missed, you’re constantly aware of just how much you can take at every point in time, keep your mails and log cluster free by responding as at when due, and schedule your appointments and meetings and subsequently remind you, manage your files, plan your travel itinerary, carry out research on emerging technologies in the industry, write reports and newsletters, create presentations, manage social media accounts and representation online, address employees’ administrative inquiries, get involved in the recruitment process of employees. I am responsible for how you are represented online.

Quite related to the role of a social media Virtual Assistant, I could be your blog virtual assistant.

Here, I manage your blog instead of a social media account. I would be responsible for keeping up with industry trends, researching keywords, generating appropriate topic ideas for your blog, ensuring your blogsite is maintained and up to date and managing your audience. Well, I could also be your virtual chief of staff, to keep your life running smoothly.

I am in charge of everything ranging from management of your home staff, to answering your calls and emails, to planning your travels, to scheduling your appointments, maintaining your records and documents, to planning seminars, conferences, and workshops. To better understand this, I am going to be taking you through a role I have once been in; In this role, I was responsible for my client’s management which included recruitment and management of his house staff. To do this, I had to study and understand the man’s patterns so I could efficiently convey his wants and manage his staff. He ate a lot of fruits and vegetables and liked them cut in a certain way. However, he couldn’t stand being cut into the same shape consecutively, it bored him. The shapes were supposed to intrigue him. So every time he had to hire a new chef, I was responsible for virtual onboarding and explaining his preference. This way, a smooth relationship was ensured and satisfaction of involved parties was attained.
